Fundamental Power Index

EliteOne number blending profitability, value, F-Score & Z-Score

FPI blends four reads we already compute (the Piotroski F-Score, the Altman Z-Score, Munger's ROIC−WACC spread, and a P/E-based value score), each mapped to 0 to 100 and averaged. A * marks rows where fewer than four components were available. Not investment advice.

How it works

Ours, not a published model. The point is to stop opening four screens to answer one question. It folds present financial strength, solvency, profitability and valuation into a single reading from zero to one hundred, and the components underneath are the models on the other pages here — the F-Score for strength, the Z-Score for solvency.

A high number does not mean buy. It means nothing in the filings is currently arguing against you, which is a lower bar than it sounds.

When it misleads

A composite hides its own disagreements. A company can score well overall while one component is screaming, and the single number will not tell you which. That is what the sub-scores are for.

Because it inherits the F-Score and the Z-Score, it inherits their blind spots — including the Z-Score's habit of calling asset-light companies distressed.
